The COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically reduced college soccer viewing options during the Fall 2020 semester, but the ACC is still forging ahead.
The ACC recently announced its updated schedule, with 13 programs set to play eight games from Sept. 17-Nov. 1 (four home, four away) after North Carolina State previously opted out.
After playing their limited regular-season schedule, the top eight teams will qualify for the ACC tournament and build toward the final Nov. 15. There’s no NCAA tournament until possibly the spring, and all players maintain an extra year of eligibility after a blanket waiver was passed Aug. 21. In other words, they can compete in any number of games this fall and not lose eligibility.
