The Middlebury women’s soccer team has won a lot of games over the past couple seasons. The haul includes 27 wins from 38 games played in 2017 and 2018 and two trips to the NCAA tournament.
Despite the recent success, the Panthers’ 2018 season feels different. Middlebury won the first seven games of the season for the first time since 2009, and it’s accomplished the feat in convincing fashion, outscoring opponents, 20-3.
There are several factors behind the bright start, but the one spoken about most in the locker room is that the team is just enjoying playing together.
