When I started my NEPSAC girls coverage last month, the first two Class A coaches I spoke with told me to watch out for Austin Prep.
Why?
Well, the Cougars enter 2026 riding some serious momentum. Last fall marked Austin Prep’s fourth as a NEPSAC member, and all Tim Phelan’s group did was forge a 14-match unbeaten streak, set a school record for goals and qualify for the program’s first Class A tournament.
If 2025 was about setting the program’s expectations, 2026 is all about raising the bar even higher. With a strong nucleus returning, headlined by a three-headed monster up front, the Cougars believe another postseason appearance is within reach.
