Just two weekends remain until the ECNL Girls New England Conference season ramps up. But first, several local teams headed to Dallas last weekend for a final tune-up.
ECNL Dallas brought some of the best teams nationally together for a three-day showcase, with FC Stars Blue, FC Stars White, and Scorpions SC all representing New England across various age groups.
Unfortunately, lightning in the area wiped out most of Saturday’s games. Still, the action we did get offered a glimpse of where our local teams stand heading into league play. That’s especially true for the FC Stars White 2009 team, which continued its strong showcase season with a 2-1-0 performance in Texas and looks primed to contend in the league.
Several players also stood out in Texas, giving us an early indicator of who to watch this spring. Today’s story highlights FC Stars White standout players from the 2009 and 2010 age groups, along with a few shoutouts from 2008 and 2011. We’ll spotlight FC Stars Blue and Scorpions SC standouts tomorrow.
